Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
Men and women have equal and mutual responsibilities in the society:
"And as for the believers: both men and women are in charge (or protectors) of one another, they (all) enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and keep up prayers and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto God and His apostle. It is they upon whom God will bestow His grace." (9:71)
The Arabic word "awliya" that is used in the Quran to show the mutual rights and obligations of women in the society, underlines both the 'responsibility' and the 'authority' that men and women should equally share as inseparable members of the society in which all the individuals and groups whatever the differences among them may be, have collective responsibility toward the society as a whole. Enjoining the doing of what is right and forbidding the doing of what is wrong "al-amr bilma 'ruf wal-naby'an al'munkar' cover all the social and political activities which are acknowledged now as human rights, and should be secured for both men and women equally in the society. During the rule of Caliph Umar ibn al- Khattab (634-644), a Muslim woman expressed publicly her opposition to the Caliph's suggestion of restricting the amount that a woman can ask for as a dowry, and the Caliph had to withdraw his suggestions.
Los hombres y las mujeres tienen mutuas responsabilidades e igualitarias en la sociedad:
"Pero los creyentes y las creyentes son amigos unos de otros. Ordenan lo que está bien y prohíben lo que está mal. Hacen la azalá(oración), dan el azaque(zakat) y obedecen a Allah y a su Mensajero. De esos se apiadará Allah, Allah es poderoso, sabio." (9,71)
La palabra Árabe 'awliya' la cual es usada en el Corán para mostrar los derechos y obligaciones mutuas de las mujeres en la sociedad, subraya las dos la 'responsabilidad' y la 'autoridad' que los hombres y las mujeres deberían compartir por igual como miembros inseparables de la sociedad en la cual todos los individuos y grupos, sean cuales sean las diferencias que podrían existir entre ellos, tienen una responsabilidad colectiva hacia la sociedad como uno. Disfrutar haciendo lo que es correcto y prohibir hacer lo que es incorrecto "al-amr bilma 'ruf wal-naby'an al'munkar" cubre todas las actividades sociales y políticas las cuales son conocidas ahora como derechos humanos, y deberían estar aseguradas para los dos, hombres y mujeres por igual en la sociedad.
