Hadith: 1035

`Abdullah bin `Abdur-Rahman reported: Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) said to me: "I see that you like living among your sheep in wilderness. So whenever you are with your sheep or in wilderness and you want to call Adhan, you should raise your voice because whoever hears the Adhan, whether a human or jinn or any other creature, will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection.'' Abu Sa`id added: "I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).''
[Al-Bukhari].

Addressing Salamah (radi Allahu anha), the nurse of his son Ibraheem, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "Does it not please any one of you that if she conceives by her husband and he is satisfied with her, that she receives the reward of fasting and vigil (remaining alert as a Mujahid protecting the borders of the Islamic state or Muslim army) for Allah's sake. And none of the dwellers of Heaven or Earth know about the coolness of eyes (a unique repose) she will receive for the labor pains she suffered. When she delivers, not a mouthful of milk flows from her and not an instance does the child suck, but that she receives for every suck and mouthful, the reward of a good deed. If she is kept awake by her child during the night, she receives the reward of freeing seventy slaves for the sake of Allah." The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said: "O Salamah do you know which women are being referred to? Those who, despite being pious and enjoying a respectable position, obey their husbands and do not belittle them." [Tabarani]

This hadith can be hugely comforting to millions of women for the troubles that they go through anyway in child bearing and child rearing. These activities are not a curse that women carry for somebody else's mistake. In fact, they are a source of enormous reward for them. It is hard to think of any activity that a woman can do which will surpass these in hasanaat (reward). The highest reward is that of a Mujahid, and she is compensated at least at this rate every moment from the point of conception till the time that she stops nursing her child. Nobody can compensate as beautifully as Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) does!

It is important for women to keep in mind though, that they need to honour their husbands to receive the full reward, even if they should be of a higher social standing or more pious than their husbands. Respect of the husband is indicative of the piety of the wife.

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh

`Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

Messenger of Allah, (PBUH) appointed a man in charge of an army unit who led them in Salat (prayer); he always concluded his recitation with Surat Al-Ikhlas: "Say (O Muhammad (PBUH)): 'He is Allah, (the) One. Allah-us-Samad (Allah - the Self-Sufficient). He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none equal or comparable to Him.''' (112:1-4)
Upon their return to Al-Madinah, they mentioned this to Messenger of Allah (PBUH), who said, "Ask him why he does so?'' He was asked and he said, "This Surah contains the Attributes of Allah, the Gracious, and I love to recite it." Messenger of Allah (PBUH) then told them, "Tell him that Allah loves him".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Triple Filter Test / El Triple Filtro

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh

The Triple Filter Test

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Keep away from ill-thinking/suspicions because ill-thinking is the greatest falsehood.” [Sahih Bukhari]

During the Abbasid period one of the scholars in Baghdad was greeted by an acquaintance who said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?"

Scholar: "Hold on a minute, before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."

The Man: "Triple Filter Test?"

Scholar: "That's right, before you talk to me about my friend it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

The Man: "No, actually I just heard about it and ..."

Scholar: "All right, so you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"

The Man: "No, on the contrary..."

Scholar: "So, you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: The filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"

The Man: "No, not really."

Scholar: "Well, if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) asks us: "O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh (meat) of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful." [Quran 49:12]

Let's pass our intended speech through the triple filter test before we madly utter our every thought. And lets subject others to the triple filter test too before we hear any number of damaging things from them.

Daughters / Hijas

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh

Narrated Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu): "There is no Muslim, whose two daughters reach the age (of adulthood), and he is good to them as a companion, and they do not cause him to enter Paradise." [Sahih Bukhari]

It is to be noted that Muslim women enjoy special privileges not only as mothers and wives but also as daughters. They are a cause of blessing in a way unique to them. Daughters and sons, each has their own virtues, and daughters are not to be under-estimated in the blessings that they bring to their parents.

Secret Talk / Conversaciones Secretas

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh

Avoiding talking to a person to the exclusion of a third:
Ibn `Umar may Allaah be pleased with him and his father, reported that the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “When there are three people present, two of them should not hold a secret counsel to the exclusion of the third, until more come to the gathering, lest this saddens him (i.e. the third person).” [Al-Bukhaari & Muslim]

This is because the third person may think that he is the subject of discussion, or that he is being conspired against.
Two people speaking privately in a group containing more than three people is not included in this prohibition, as the prohibiting factor no longer applies.

However, if there are ten people in the gathering and nine of them speak secretly to the exclusion of the tenth, then the prohibition applies.

Likewise, if two people speak a different language than the third in a group of three, then the prohibition also applies.

Love of Allah is the basis of worship that should be directed to Him alone. Any other love should be for his sake too. The real love of Allah is to do whatever He ordained and to abandon whatever He forbade, in addition to Following Rasulullah ( صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)’s Sunnah. Whoever obeys someone or something other than Allah and His Messenger ( صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), or follows any saying other than theirs, or fears other than Allah or seeks the pleasure of other than Allah, or puts his trust in other than Him, does not love Allah, nor does he love His Messenger ( صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ). Muslims should also love one another and wish the best for one another.

Allah’s Messenger ( صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) said: “One will not be a true believer unless he loves for his brother what be loves for himself.” (Bukhari)

Moderation In Eating / Moderación Al Comer

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh

> Saudi Arabia gastó 5000 toneladas de comida
en los primeros 3 days de Ramadan.

> Mientras, cada 3,6 segundos un niño
muere de hambre en el mundo!!

Do you see this? And they are called "Muslims"? They are a shame for the Ummah!! This is not what the Prophet (PBUH ) taught us, they are ruining everything that the Prophet (PBUH) did for us, this is a lack of respect, did they forget the struggle of the Prophet (PBUH) to convey the message leading with the example? This makes me angry, what a lack of respect and intelligence. And obviously a lack of knowledge. Astaghfirullah. May Allah guide them. Ameen

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allaah) likes not Al‑Musrifoon (those who waste by extravagance)”

[al-A’raaf 7:31]

The Sunnah encourages moderation in eating, and strongly criticizes extravagance.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink and one third with air.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2380); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (2265).

It was narrated that Naafi’ said: Ibn ‘Umar used not to eat until a poor man was brought to eat with him. I brought a man in to eat with him and he ate a great deal. He said: O Naafi’, do not let this man enter upon me, for I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “The kaafir eats in seven intestines.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5393) and Muslim (2060).

Al-Nawawi said, commenting on this hadeeth (14/25):

The scholars said: What the hadeeth means is to be content wit little in this world and encouraging asceticism and contentment, in addition to the fact that eating little is a good characteristic, and eating a great deal is the opposite. As for the words of Ibn ‘Umar concerning the poor man who ate a great deal in his presence, “Do not let him enter upon me,” he only said that because he was behaving like a kaafir, and if a person is behaves like a kaafir it is makrooh to mix with him unnecessarily; moreover, the amount that this man ate could had fed a number of people. End quote.

Haatim al-Taa’iy said:

If you give your stomach and your private part what they ask for, you will end up regretting it.
Fath al-Baari (9/669)

Fath al-Baari (9/669)

No Wife Beating / No Golpear a la Mujer

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Here a few Hadith which forbid beating a woman, there are more in the article I tagged and explanations about it. Will you deny this too? Allah told us to respect everything He created, why is it applied only to men when it benefits them and not to women (the respect)? May Allah guide us. Ameen.

Ameen

Narrated Mu'awiyah al-Qushayri: "I went to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and asked him: What do you say (command) about our wives? He replied: Give them food what you have for yourself, and clothe them by which you clothe yourself, and do not beat them, and do not revile them." (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2139)

Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah: "I said: Apostle of Allah, how should we approach our wives and how should we leave them? He replied: Approach your tilth when or how you will, give her (your wife) food when you take food, clothe when you clothe yourself, do not revile her face, and do not beat her." (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2138)

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: "He who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, if he witnesses any matter he should talk in good terms about it or keep quiet. Act kindly towards woman, for woman is created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its top. If you attempt to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, its crookedness will remain there. So act kindly towards women." (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Book 008, Number 3468)

(Sunan Abu-Dawud, Libro 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), número 2139)

  1. Escucha y Obedece

  • A Allah!
