10. Race to the door when he comes home, as if you were waiting for him. Smile and hug him.

11.Keep your house clean, at least to the level that he wants it. (Ehem.. it is nice to enter a clean house, but it's not an order. Basic thing)

12.Compliment him on the things you know he’s not so confident about (looks, intelligence, etc.) This will build his self-esteem.

20.If he’s angry with you and starts yelling, let him yell it out while you’re quiet. You will see your fight will end a lot faster. Then when he’s calm, you can tell him your side of the story and how you want him to change something.

21. When you’re mad at him, don’t say “YOU make me furious”, rather, “This action makes me upset”. Direct your anger to the action and circumstance rather than at him. (IMPORTANT)

25.Learn how to tell him what you expect without him having to guess all the time. Learn to communicate your feelings.

Aprende a comunicar tus sentimientos.

26.Don’t get mad over small things. It’s not worth it. (Note for them (guys) too)

26. No te enfades por cosas pequeñas. No merece la pena. (Nota para ellos también)

27.Make jokes. If you’re not naturally funny, go on the internet and read some jokes, and then tell them to him.

27. Haz bromas. Si no eres divertida de forma natural, vé a Internet y lee algunas bromas y cuentaselas luego a él.

28.Tell him you’re the best wife ever and compliment yourself on certain things you know you’re good at.

29.Learn to make his favorite dish.(Or teach us :P)

29. Aprende a hacer su plato favorito. (O enséñanos :P)

30.Don’t ever, EVER talk bad about him with friends or family unnecessarily. If they end up agreeing with you, you will see that it hits you back in the face because you get more depressed that you have a bad husband–and other people also think you have a bad husband. (Read point 7.)

(Lee punto 7.)

31.Use your time wisely and get things accomplished. If you’re a home-maker, take online classes and get active in your community. This will make you happy and a secondary bonus is that it impresses your husband.

32.Do all of the above fee sabeelillah and you will see Allah put barakah in everything you do.

33.Husband and wife should discuss and communicate with wisdom with each other to convey what they like and dislike of each other to do or not to do. Do NOT give commands or instructions like he’s your servant.(Guys this work both sides)
“They are garment to each other” [Surah Baqarah, 2:187]

34.Tell your husband you love him, many, many times. Aisha (رضالله عنها) narrated that the Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) used to ask her how strong her love for him, she said like “a knot.” And the next time he would ask her, “How is that knot?” He also used to reply to her saying, “Jazzakillah, O Aishah, wallahi, you have not rejoiced in me as I have rejoiced in you.” (The hadith was backwards, he said that to her, not her to him, but the love was mutual)

35.Have a race with your husband and let him win, even if you are much fitter and stronger than him.

38.Do not leave the house without his permission and certainly not without his knowledge.

39.Make sure all his clothes are clean and pressed so he is always looking fresh and crisp. (Man! You also have hands don't forget)

40.Don’t discuss important/controversial matters with him when he is tired or sleepy. Find right time for right discussion.

41.The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

42.Always let him know that you appreciate him working and bringing home the “dough”. It makes it easier for him to go to work.

46.Surprise him with gifts. Even necessities, such as new shoes, can be gifts.

47.Listen to him. (Even when he talks about extremely boring things like basketball or computers.)

48.Try (hard as it might be) to take interest in his hobbies.

49.Try not to go shopping too much … and spend all his money.

50.Look attractive and be seductive towards him. Flirt with him.

50. Ten una apariencia atractiva y sé seductiva hacia él. Flirtea con él.

51.Learn tricks and “techniques” to please your husband in intimacy. (Of course goes both ways.)

53. Cuida de tu piel, especialmente de tu cara. La cara es el centro de atención.

54.If you not satisfied intimately, talk to him and tell him. Help him or provide resources, don’t wait until matters become worse.

55.Ask Allah to strengthen and preserve the bonds of compassion and love between the two of you, every day, every prayer. Ask him to protect that bond from Shaytaan. When a lesser devil destroys the love between spouses, he is the most beloved of Shaytaan. Nothing works like du’ah, and love only exists between spouses where Allah instills it.

56.Don’t EVER compare your husbands to other husbands! For example don’t say, “well her husband doesn’t do that, why do you …” (thats a killer!)

57.Be happy with what you have because no one is perfect. If you want perfection, wait until you enter Jannah together inshaAllah–and of course, vice versa!

58.Strive for Allah’s love first and foremost! if all wives try to seek Allah’s love and pleasure, surely, they can keep their husbands love too. And remember–if Allah loves you, the angels will love you, and the entire creation will love you.

59.If you pack a lunch for your husband to take to work, from time to time sneak in a little love note or sweet poem. If he doesn’t take a lunch, leave the note somewhere else for him to find, like in his briefcase, or wallet or on the car steering-wheel

60.Wake him up for Qiyam ul-Layl (in the last third of the night) and ask him to pray with you.

May Allah preserve all of our marriages and help us understand and implement them in and with the best of manners, ameen! InshaAllah if you know more ways, post them in the comments and share the benefit.

Personal note: I don't agree with all this, just some points are interesting, the rest I don't really like them, women are not maids. (Maybe this sheikh only advices to the ones who are housewives)

Junaid Baghdadi and Love for Allah / Junaid Baghdadi y Amor por Allah

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Once at the time of Hajj, there was a gathering in Mecca of some friends of Allah; The youngest among whom was Junaid Baghdadi (ra). In that gathering, there was a discussion on the subject of "Love for Allah" and as to who is the lover of Allah. Many of them expressed their views on the subject, but Junaid (ra) kept quiet. He was pressed to say something.

With his head bowed down and tears in his eyes, he said, "The lover of Allah is he who forgets his own self, remains engaged in Allah's remembrance with due regard to all its requirements; sees Allah with the eyes of his heart, which is burnt by the heat of Allah's fear; Allah's remembrance affects him like a cup of wine, he speaks the word of Allah as if All-Mighty Allah speaks through his mouth; If he moves, he does so under the command of Allah; he gets peace of mind only though the obedience of Allah; and when such a stage is reached, his eating, drinking, sleeping, awakening and in short, all his actions are for the pleasure of Allah; he neither pays heed to the worldly customs, nor does he attach any importance to unfriendly criticism by people."

Love, love, love

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

This is something we all can get, how? Being the first to give respect and have patience.
If there are a kind of behaviour you don't like in someone, why do you repeat it to them? To take revenge? Do you realize that this just encourage the bad feelings? this is a non stop. Why don't you begin a change? Why don't you talk to each other? Be sincere, open your heart and mind and be willing to listen and don't get angry for whatever they say, communication is important and if your partner feels they can't talk to you, what kind of relationship is that? You need to find in your partner a best friend to talk to, a brother/sister to feel protected and get comfort, a father/mother to get the love... Be open to them, talk to them, don't hide anything, never mind how little it is, and when they talk to you, don't get angry if they are being honest to you, just listen and try to understand.
Give what you want to get. Your partner is not your enemy is part of you and you need them by your side.

"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, or witherings, of tarnishings." - Anais Nin

"Never close your lips to those whom you have opened your heart". - Charles Dickens

STORY: Does Allah love me? / ¿Allah me quiere?

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Shaikh Ali Rantawi says he was wondering if Allah loves him? So he checked the Qur'an to see what are the characteristics of the people Allah has mentioned He loves them for.
So he found that Allah loves Al-Muttaqeen (the pious), he says "I wouldn't dare consider myself one of them".
Then he found that Allah loves As-Sabireen (the patient). So he remembered; "How impatient I am."
He found that Allah loves Al-Mujahedeen (those who strive in HIS path), so he remembered how lazy and powerless he was.
Then he found He loves Al-Muhsineen (those who do good deeds). So he remembered how far he is from that.
He says:
"So I stopped searching to avoid more disappointment. I reflected on my good deeds, I found most of them are mixed with laziness, coldness, flaws and sins.
Then it came to my mind that Allah loves the at-Tawwabeen (those who repent). I just figured out it is the one for me and for others like me.
So I started saying "AstaghfiruAllah WA Atoobu ilaihi" in abundance so I could be one among those He loves."

Seeking A Spouse / Buscando Un Cónyuge

Wanting someone perfect when you are not even ok is a quite selfish, arrogant and hypocrite thing. Work on yourself first, worry for yourself first then you will understand that no one is perfect so you can't search for someone perfect.
Men and women are to complete each other, to complete their deen. You might not like something in them but maybe you like another thing and you both can complete each other or correct each other and make you better and complete muslims. In shaa Allah.

Allah says it in the Quran:

But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.(Quran 2:216)

So don't be arrogant, you can't have something you can't give, worry sincerely for being the best you can be and Allah will give you what you deserve, no doubts about that.

Vile women are for vile men, and vile men for vile women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women; such are innocent of that which people say: For them is pardon and a bountiful provision.(Quran 24:26)

Isn't it clear enough? Be good and you will get good, be disgusting and you will get the same. Allah is Al- 'Adl, The All- Just. Subhana Allah.

Stop judging others as well, we are not perfect, we are just human, we sin, all the time, anytime but who are the best of sinners? Those who repent to Allah only.
Now think, if you judge someone but they already repented, how silly would it make you look? Keep thinking, what if Allah already forgave them?? Who are you to judge anyone then? Not like you have that authority.
We all sin differently, it doesn't mean that you can ignore your sins and put others down for theirs, what a shame! Not like your sin is less important than their. Worry for your book of deeds. We can advice others if we see they can't notice their mistakes but never judging, but what is best is praying for them. It won't only write down a good deed for you but you show to Allah you care for that person and Allah might help them and also help you for doing this good thing.

What are you waiting for? Raise your hands, say Astaghfirullah, ask for good for the Ummah and anyone near you that you think that needs help, May Allah give you what you need too. Amen

Remember: Try to be a good muslim and Allah will put in your way a good partner for you. No one is perfect, you are their missing piece and they are your missing piece.

May Allah make us good muslims and grant us a good muslim partner, fill us with true love during our stay in dunya and that it continues in Jannah, Amin thumma Amin.

In shaa Allah.
