Cover yourself / Cúbrete

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

We are tired of hearing brothers telling sisters to cover up more and more and find faults in everything even in those who are doing things right. It's ok if you remind us and encourage us every now and then, sometimes we need it, we are brother/sister hood. But when it becomes in threats, persecuting etc it's not nice at all. Why are you so selfish?
What about yourself? Did you know that you, brothers, also have some rules to follow according to dressing? Did you know that you also have to cover yourself?
You excuse yourself saying that women attract men, ok, what about the opposite? Men also attract women. Is the nature and Islam teaches us, men and women, discipline to live together in a civilized way and the first thing is dressing properly to not provoke to any of the the two genders.
I've been told that men are not fitna... yea for other men aren't that's why is selfish to think that you don't have to cover up... following this thinking; what about women? We could tell the same, couldn't we?
Does it make sense? No, right?
So why is one valid for men and the same thing is not valid for women?
Something's wrong and it's not Islam.

Rules on dressing for the believers (men or women).

Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not look at the one who trails his lower garment out of arrogance." Umm Salamah (ra) asked: "What should women do with the hem of their clothes?" He (pbuh) said, "They might lower them a hand's span." She said: "But their feet would still remain exposed." He said, "Let them lower those equal to arm's length but not more than that."[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

* Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Dress
Book 4, Hadith 807
Narrated 'Ali (ra):
I saw Messenger of Allah (pbuh) holding a piece of gold in his left hand and a silk (cloth) in his right hand. Then he said, "These two are forbidden for the males of my Ummah."[Abu Dawud].

* Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Dress
Book 4, Hadith 808
Narrated 'Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (ra):
Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Wearing of silk and gold has been made unlawful for males and lawful for the females of my Ummah."[At-Tirmidhi].

No, ¿verdad?

[Abu Dawud y At- Tirmidhi].

* Riyad as-Salihin, El Libro de la Vestimenta
Libro 4, Hadith 807

Claim Your Rights / Reclama Tus Derechos

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Read, Obey Allah
Ask, Claim, Act

Women in the earliest times used to ask everything and anything about Islam, never mind what it was without feeling shy or anything, to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) because they wanted to get knowledge and know her rights, furthermore they standed against any who didn't allow them to do what Allah allowed them and gained their respect by fighting for what is right and never allowing what is wrong when it comes to how we must be treated.
Then I look to the women today in some places. They don't ask, they don't use their rights, they are controlled and do what their husband tells them to do without wondering if that's ok or not, or if they want it or not. Where have been left that status that Islam gave you and the first women fought for? Did they fight in vain?
Sisters. Study Islam, you have more rights than you think and more freedon than you think.
Men adore to control, they want to control us over all... but they don't have that right, only Allah has control over all things including them, including us.
Yes we must "obey" the husband(or father, whatever) because he is the head of the family but it doesn't give him the right to take away any of our rights, he can't tell us what to do and what not to do, he can't make us submit to them, remember sisters, our submition is to Allah only. Only Allah is above you, no a simple man, a creation of Allah.
If you men think that by being "the head of the family" you can control us to your will, excuse me but you have a huge problem, study Islam and don't think you are better than women, Islam was sent for women and men not for you only. And Allah as well as RassoulAllah (PBUH) emphasised in the correct treatment of women, why? Because of this, because They knew how much you want to control us and feel superior, YOU ARE NOT. That's a dissease.

Sister. Be careful with their psicological threats. "I won't let you go to the mosque to pray because someone might rape/kidnap/kill you and how would I feel if this happens to you my love?" Come on man. This is a light thing, at the very second they feel they can manipulate you, they will and this will increase. If he really cared for you and loved you, first, he wouldn't take any right of yours away from you, second, he would go with you. Is that simple. Don't want me to go alone? Come with me then. But don't stop me from doing what is right.

Claim your right to learn about your religion by yourself. We see how some men pick up what banefit them and "forget" those things that doesn't benefit them or require them to change their behaviour to fulfill it. How can you be so selfish?? Islam is here to discipline us, to correct us, if you see you have to change something is because you are doing things wrong, don't be arrogant "I'm a man, I don't have to change". Exactly because you are a man, a creation of Allah you have mistakes that you have to change, we are not perfect, Allah knows and gave you the instructions, read them. Islam is here to change us not for you to change it to your will so it can fit your sick desires. Islam discipline us.
If you have something that Allah said it's not correct, go ahead and change it because it won't bring you any good, either in Dunya or in Akhira, or both. Do you know more than Allah? No. Astaghfirullah. So don't avoid the commands that don't benefit you directly.
We all had to change to please Allah, you are not going to be the special one, be sure of that.

And don't use the excuse "I'm human I make mistakes" to never change, to never try to be better, to justify your bad behaviour, it doesn't have justification. "I'm not the Prophet (Peace be upon him)" that's the excuse I heard the most when I tried to advice someone and they didn't want to change so they look for a justification. Of course you are not the Prophet ( Peace be upon him) no one is near to how He (Peace be upon him) was but is that an excuse to keep doing wrong when it's clearly wrong? NO MAN. Instead it should be a heart touching thing knowing you are doing something that your Prophet (Peace be upon him) cursed, forbade, never did, isn't it a shame that you come and do exactly what he (peace be upon him) told you not to do? Where is your respect???
(This is based in my own experience, I found people like this so it does exists and is what I complain about)
We all make mistakes but there are things that are not mistakes but choices and we try to put them as mistakes to not face them and accept that we did wrong.

In conclusion. Women, claim your rights and keep them because are yours, Allah gave them to you, don't reject them neither let anyone to take them from you, just think, if Allah Azzawajal Himself gave them to you, do you think there are anyone to His level, Astaghfirulillah, to remove them from you? Don't fall into false words.

Men. You are the head of the family to protect us, to keep things straight, but you are not a higher authority, you can't decide what we follow and what we don't. You are not free of sins and you are not perfect, you will have to change your manners if they are wrong.
It's for you more than for us because in the Day of Judgement, Allah will be the Judge and he will know who was good and who wasn't, who was oppressed and who was the oppressor, who forbade right and encouraged wrong, who stopped from doing right to someone who wanted to do right etc Allah will also know who picked up a part of His religion and avoided other and the reasons behind this. He will also know who, in His name, did things he wasn't allowed to.
Do you really want to be in this situation? Don't you fear Allah? Leave arrogance, egoism aside, control yourself before controlling anyone else and fear Allah.

And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” (AI-Baqarah, 2:216)

"Believer man and believer women are helpers of each other." (Touba 9, Verse 71)

Islam is for our best. Change yourself not Islam. Avoid your ugly desires not the verses of the Qur'an.
Amin.

I want to add something. I don't mean all men are like this, there are many who are a real and great example of what Islam is and I'm glad I'm their sister in Islam. This goes for those who are a shame, just that.

"El Islam no descarta los deseos
los disciplina."

Lee, Obedece a Allah

No. Astaghfirullah.

NO!.

¿No temes a Allah?

Consejos Para Los Creyentes.

Hermanas y Hermanos. Estos son consejos para los creyentes.

  • Hombre y Mujer.

  1. Escucha y Obedece

  • A Allah!

Tips For The Believers.

Sisters & Brothers These tips are for the Believers

- Male & Female.

So, both of you, make Du’a to Allah to make your marriage and relationship successful - We all know, as believers, all good things are from Allah. Never forget to ask Allah for the blessing of having a successful marriage that begins in this world and continues on –into Paradise, inshallah.

1. Listen & Obey

 - ALLAH! ( theneach other ) - First rule of obedience is to Allah, and then the wife to the husband (Quran chapter 4, verse 34). Obeying your husband is obligatory! But what about the husband? Doesn't he have to obey.

Sisters: Your husband is the Ameer ( head) of the household. Give him his rights and respect, and Allah will give you your rights.

Brothers: First rule of obedience for you is, after Allah and His messenger, who has the most rights? (Your mother, yourmother, your mother and thenyour father). After your parents, who? Your wife (don't pretendyou didn't know this ).

Same surah, same ayah - Read: Quran (Surah An-Nisaa' chapter 4, The Women, verse 34):

Men (males ) are responsible for women (females ) because of what Allah has given one over the other (in strength) and they ( males) spend (for females maintenance) from their wealth. So righteous women are obedient (to Allah), guarding in (husbands ) absence what Allah wants them to guard. But for those ( wives) from whom you observe arrogance and refusal, admonish them; ( if they persist), leave their beds; and (lastly ), tap (percuss ) them. But if they comply, seek no further means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.

2. Be Pleasing To Each Other

- After what pleases Allah, always seek to please your spouse, this is your key to Jannah.

Sisters: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that any woman who dies in a state that her husband is pleased with her, she shall enter Paradise. So, try your best to please him (even when you think it is not worth it - it is still worth it)

Brothers: Did you read the way our prophet, peace be upon him, dealt with his family? Wake Up! You must follow his way in helping with cooking, cleaning and taking care of your own clothes (he did it, you can do it too).

3. Do not get Angry

-Arguments are a fire in your home -put out the fire as fast as possible. Our prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Do not become angry! Do not become angry! Do not become angry!" And he told us anger is from the devil (shayton) and the shayton runs through your body like your blood when you become angry.

Sisters: You already know men have a hard time admitting they are wrong. In fact, some men refuse to say it, and this is very dangerous for them, but also for you. Be careful not to force the issues with him when he is upset. Treat him like the baby that he is imitating. Really, just take it easy and keep your cool. Allah will reward you and inshallah, Allah will guide your husband back on track.

Brothers: You know you are not perfect. Come on now, admit it and get it over with. Say, "I am sorry". You can be the one to extinguish the fire of shayton in your home with a simple ‘I’m sorry’ even if you think it is not your fault. When you fight back, you are only adding wood to the fire. Watch how sweetly an argument will end when you just say sincerely, “ Look, I’m sorry. Let it go .”

4. Be grateful

-Say, "Thank you" to your spouse constantly for the nice things done nicely.

Sisters: Prophet, peace be upon him, taught us; "Whoever does not thank the people, does not thank Allah". So, just go ahead and say, "Thanks honey" and even add "Good job" or "Well done". This is one of the most important techniques. Remember ungratefulness (opposite) is a characteristic of the people of hellfire. May Allah save all of us from that, ameen.

Brothers: When was the last time you said, "Thank you honey" to your wife for cleaning house, washing clothes, ironing, bathing the children, taking them to school, teaching them things? You say, "But she does that every day" -- And that is the point! She is doing this day after day - But where is the pay? Give her something to make her feel worthwhile, say it!

5. Have fun together

-Enjoy games, playing and joking around with your spouse:

Sisters: You can play some jokes on your husband, but don't lie or hurt his feelings. Men look for seek women who are light-hearted and have a sense of humor.

Brothers: Our Prophet (peace be upon him) told Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, "Marry someone who makes you laugh and you make her laugh".

6. Dress up for each other and look sharp.

Islam encourages us to look and act our best in front of everyone, especially loved ones.

Sisters: Wear nice jewelry and dress-up at home for your husband. From the early years, young girls adorned them selves with earrings and bracelets and wore nice dresses – as described in the Qur’an. As a wife, you should continue to use the jewelry and the nice dresses for your husband.

Brothers: Do you think only sisters need to "dress-up"? What about our prophet, peace be upon him? He wore his nicest clothes, he even made sure to wash his own garments. And what about smells? You know how important fragrance is. Don't ever let her smell your stinky sweat. She smells nice for you, so at least put on nice fragrance for her - you do it at the mosque, right?

8. Be like the people of Paradise

- Act right, think right and look right (try this tip today)

Sisters: Do you know about the characteristics of the Hoor Al-Ayn (women of paradise)? Islam describes these women with certain characteristics. They wear silk, have beautiful, dark eyes, etc. Here are some ideas: Try it, wear silk for your husband, put eye make-up for your eyes to ‘enlarge’ them, and be sweet to your husband.

Brothers: Where are your spouses going to get the fine silk dresses, provocative lingerie, sweet fragrance and makeup? Quran tells us (Surah 4, verse 34 -above) You are the one responsible to provide - so get with it and start providing.

9. Spread "Peace" amongst yourselves.

This is in Islam for sure. The Quran talks about it, and our prophet, peace be upon him, said, "You will not enter Paradise until you believe and you will not believe, until you love each another. Shall I direct you to the way to love each other? Spread the"salams" (peace) between you."- narrated by Abu Hurairah

Sisters: When your spouse comes home, give each other the most wonderful greeting of a Muslim - " Salam alaykum waRahmatullah wa Barakatahu"Peace, Blessings and Mercy of Allah be to you, (and remember to smile).

Brothers: You give the "salams" to everyone you see, even brothers you just met. In fact, you are careful to give anyone you just met good salams -right? But what about your wife? The mother of your children? The one who is making dua for you every day and night? Do you give the proper salams to her, when you should? Entering and leaving the house? When you enter or leave a room?

10. Smile

- It costs nothing and buys everything! Who can resist a nice, big, happy smile? It even makes me smile to think about it.

Sisters: Our prophet, peace be upon him, taught us; The smile in the face of our fellow Muslim is an act of charity. So you can keep peace in your family, make a sweet feeling in your home, get rewarded by Allah and maybe even a nice smile back. Think how your husband would feel if he came in and found your nice clean home, his wife looking nicely dressed and made up for him, a nice dinner prepared with care, children cleaned up and welcoming him home. It really does help, even if he doesn't say so.

Brothers: When was the last time you smiled at your wife? Can you recall the last time you brought home some flowers, chocolates, a small gift (nothing wrong with a nice of jewelry brother)?

11. Work!

-That's right, you have family jobs. Get to work your house, your children, your duties to your wife and family.

Sisters: Look around you. What is that stack of clothes all about? How come there is so much clutter in the kitchen? The bedroom looks like someone slept in it? (you did) The hallway looks like a storage building. Forget laundry room. No, the TV doesn't need you - the house needs you.

Brothers: What about lending a hand for the hard stuff? Why not take some time to clean up the bathroom or basement or attic? You know, the hard to reach places and the places where spiders, bugs and insects collect? What would this do to her love for you? Now imagine what if you just bust in the door, shouting orders, complaining about your hard day at work and don't even notice how much she has to do every day.

12. Attraction

- Allah Tells us in Quran, He made one male and from him the first female and made all people from them. You know how it works. Charm is the key to attraction. Kindness and understanding are the keys to charm. So, be kind to each other and use your attraction to bring your hearts together.

Sisters: Use your ‘ Zina’ to win the heart of your husband. Every woman has Blessings from Allah, including the "beauties" and "ornaments" that attract men. But then you already know that, don't you? OK - So USE THEM. Your hair, your eyes, your smile (mentioned above, remember) and your clothes (and the way you wear them), all these can work together to help bring out the man you really want. You know what he likes and get all "fuzzy" in the head. Go straight for the heart.

Brothers: She did not marry a couch potato. She is looking for that cute guy you were when she accepted the marriage proposal. Where is that guy? The nice clothes, shiny shoes, clean smell, soft words, you know -(the way you were).
