Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

In the first place let's clear something up:

Islam is not a race. Islam has nothing at all to do with genetics, not is it an innate characteristic. It is an ideology - a voluntary-  held set of beliefs about individual behavior and the rules of society. People choose their beliefs; they do not choose their race.

Therefore Muslims are not a race of people. In fact, there are Muslims of all races. A person does not change their race by adopting or leaving Islam.

Here I will leave a story about racism.

"The following scene took place on a flight between Johannesburg and London. A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the Air Hostess.

"Madam, what is the matter?", the hostess asked.

"You obviously do not see it then?", she responded. "You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."

"Be calm please.", the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available."

The hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later. "Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class."

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. "It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class However, given the circumstances; the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting."

She turned to the black guy, and said, "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please take your hand luggage because a seat awaits you in the first class."

At the moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded."

"...All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood..." [Prophet Muhammad's (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) Last Sermon]

Abu Nadrah reported: I heard the farewell sermon of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said:

"O People, verily, your Lord is one and your father Adam is one. There is no favoritism of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither red skin over black skin, nor black skin over red skin, except through righteousness. Have I not conveyed the message?"

"O Mankind! Most certainly, it is We (God almighty) who have created you all from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and it is We who have made you into nations and tribes, that you may recognize each other (not that you may despise each other). Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you." (Qur'an 49:13)

Jubair ibn Mut'im reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

"He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism."

It's quite clear that Islam eradicates racism, it's clearly haram, no one is allowed to put anyone else down because of their race, but why does this happen? The only answer I have is that people put their nationality over their religion and this causes those conflicts, some think they are superior to others and act like if they were. A never ending war. Or maybe yes?

Muslims must spread the message of Islam to the people of the earth who still suffer from racism and tribal bigotry. Even among some Muslims, the scourge of racism exists and causes harm among communities. The only way to completely eradicate racism is to embrace the oneness of Allah (tawheed) and to accept its logical conclusion, the oneness of humanity.

Prophet Muhammad (salla allahu allahi wa salam) said: "The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever."

If your finger foot, or any part of your body is hurting, you cannot sleep. Your body may develop a fever while it tries to neutralize the pathogens in an infected part. When one part of your body is trying to fight the enemy, the whole body invariably gets involved in the process. The Prophet (Salla allahu allahi wa salam) described the Ummah as one body!

So, after reading this, why are we hurting our own body? why don't we help each other? Ma shaa Allah I just remembered this:

En primer lugar aclaremos algo:

El Islam no es una raza. El Islam no tiene nada que ver con la genética, ni es una característica innata. Es una ideología- un conjunto de creencias sobre el comportamiento individual y las reglas de la sociedad. La gente elige sus creencias; ellos no eligen su raza.

Por lo tanto los Musulmanes no son una raza. De hecho, hay musulmanes de todas las razas. Una persona no cambia su raza por aceptar o dejar Islam.

Aquí dejo una historia sobre el racismo.

“La siguiente escena tuvo lugar en un vuelo entre Johanesburgo y Londres. Una mujer blanca, sobre unos 50 años, estaba sentada al lado de un hombre blanco. Obviamente molesta por esto, llamó a la azafata.”

“Señora, ¿que le pasa?”, preguntó la azafata.

“Evidentemente no lo vé” respondió “Me puso al lado de una hombre negro, no estoy de acuerdo en sentarme a lado de alguien de un grupo tan repugnante. Dame un asiento alternativo.”

“Cálmese por favor” contestó la azafata. “Casi todos los asientos estan ocupados, iré a ver si hay algun asiento libre”

 La azafata se fué y entonces volvió minutos mas tarde, “Señora, como pensaba, no hay otro asiento libre en clase turista, hablé con el capitán y él me informó que tampoco hay asientos en bussiness class. Sin embargo, aun tenemos un lugar en primera clase”

Antes de que la mujer pudiera decir nada, la azafata continuó. “No es común en nuestra compañía permitir a alguien de la clase económica sentarse en primera clase, sin embargo, dadas las circunstancias; el capitan considera que sería escandaloso hacer que alguien se siente al lado de alguien tan desagradable.”

 Ella se dirigió hacia el chico negro y dijo, “Por lo tanto, Señor, si lo desea, por favor coja su equipaje de mano porque un asiento espera por usted en primera clase.”

En ese momento, los otros pasajeros, que estaban sorprendidos por lo que ellos acababan de presenciar, se levantaron y aplaudieron.

“... Toda la humanidad viene de Adam y Eva, un Arabe no es superior a un No-Arabe, un No-Arabe no tiene superioridad sobre un Arabe: además un blanco no tiene superioridad sobre un negro ni un negro tiene superioridad sobre un blanco, excepto por piedad y buenas acciones. Aprended que cada Musulman es un hermano para cada Musulman y que los musulmanes constituyes una fraternidad...” [Ultimo sermón del Profeta Muhammad (La paz y bendiciones de Allah sean sobre él)]

Abu Nadrah informó: Oí el sermón de despedida del Mensajero de Allah, la paz y bendiciones de Allah estén con él dijo:

"O Gente, ciertamente, vuestro Señor es uno y vuestro padre Adam es uno. No hay favoritismo de un Árabe sobre un extranjero, ni un extranjero sobre un Árabe, y tampoco alguien de piel enrojecida sobre alguien de piel negra, ni alguien de piel negra sobre alguien de piel enrojecida, excepto en honradez. ¿No he comunicado el mensaje?"

"¡Hombres" Os hemos creado de un varón y de una hembra y hemos hecho de vosotros pueblos y tribus, para que os conozcáis unos a otros. Para Alá, el más noble de entre vosotros es el que mas Le teme. Allah es omnisciente, está bien informado." (Corán 49:13)

Jubair ibn Mut'im informó: El Mensajero de Allah, la paz y bendiciones de Allah estén con él, dijo:

"No es uno de nosotros aquel que llama al tribalismo. No es uno de nosotros aquel que lucha por el bien del tribalismo. No es uno de nosotros aquel que muere siguiendo el camino del tribalismo."

Está bastante claro que el Islam erradica el racismo, es claramente haram, a nadie se le es permitido humillar a nadie por la raza a la que pertenezca, pero ¿por que pasa esto? La única respuesta que tengo es que la gente pone su nacionalidad por encima de su religión y esto causa los conflictos, algunos piensan que son superiores a otros y actúan como si lo fueran. Una guerra que nunca acaba. ¿O quizás si?

Los musulmanes deben difundir el mensaje del Islam a las personas de la tierra que aún sufre racismo e intolerancia tribal. Incluso entre algunos musulmanes, el azote del racismo existe y causa daño entre las comunidades. La única forma de erradicar completamente el racismo es adoptar la unidad de Allah (tawheed) y aceptar su conclusión lógica, la unidad de la humanidad.

El Profeta Muhammad (salla allahu allahi wa salam) dijo: "La similitud de los creyentes en lo que se refiere a mutuo amor, afección, simpatía, es la de un cuerpo; cuando cualquier miembro de este duele, todo el cuerpo duele, debido a la falta de sueño y fiebre."

Si tu dedo del pie o cualquier parte de tu cuerpo duele, no puedes dormir. Tu cuerpo podría desarrollar una fiebre mientras intenta neutralizar los patógenos de la parte infectada. Cuando una parte de tu cuerpo está intentando combatir al enemigo, todo el cuerpo se ve involucrado en el proceso. El Profeta (salla allahu allahi wa salam) describió la Ummah como un cuerpo!

Entonces, después de leer esto, ¿por qué estamos haciéndole daño a nuestro propio cuerpo? ¿Por qué no nos ayudamos los unos a los otros? Ma shaa Allah, acabo de recordar esto:

"¿Qué pasa con vosotros? 

¿Por qué no os auxiliais ahora mutuamente?"
